Thorns and Snares

A 5-part precinct drama created during a module on the BA Screenwriting course at the University of Chichester. We each wrote one episode.

Staunch atheist Hannah Reilley is enrolled at St. Ursula’s, an avant-garde Catholic school reluctantly made coeducational by imperious headmistress Mother Mary Martha.

 

But when Hannah champions a group of students questioning their religious values, she risks not only expulsion, but exposure of her sordid past...

In this episode, the Series 1 finale, Hannah is expelled whilst Mary Martha seizes a chance to reverse the coeducational experiment.

 

The original submission was graded a First. This is a slightly extended version with additional dialogue and a revised climax.
